Quotable

“You have to be very, very good and play very well at this time of the year. The guard game is extremely important. The pace of the games is extremely important. We spent four consecutive years and lost in the finals, I think, four consecutive years, and we did very well after passing a tournament, when we arrived at the NCAAs at that time. But we have a conference tournament, he is the grandfather of everything. It is extremely important for fans and alumni and how you play. ”- UNC head coach Roy Williams at the ACC tournament

“It is a group that showed a lot of character. I know we don’t have many victories to show for that, but this group kind of held on and, at the 10 minute mark, it didn’t look very good. But I thought our lead was great, and I thought Prentiss Hubb after a very difficult first half – you can’t keep a winner like that for 40 minutes. ”- Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey after his team’s 80-77 victory in the first round
