DETROIT – A winter climate warning is in effect for Detroit and all of southeastern Michigan until noon on Tuesday.
A flood alert is in effect along the St. Clair River.

The 2021 Valentine’s Day storm, which is bringing snow and ice to Texas and Deep South, is becoming President’s Day Snow Storm 2021 for Detroit and southeastern Michigan. There must be two rounds of snow; one in the morning and the other from the end of Monday to the beginning of Tuesday.
There are two turns of snow arriving in Detroit and southeastern Michigan from late evening until Tuesday morning.
The first shift comes after midnight on Sunday. Overnight lows will be in the upper digit as light snow showers spread across the region. Much will be gone after breakfast, Monday morning, with 1 to 3 inches possible in the middle of the morning.
On Presidents’ Day, Monday afternoon will be cloudy and very cold. High in the middle of adolescence.

The second round of snow impacts the region in the late afternoon of Monday, Monday night, Monday night and Tuesday morning. The snow will be more widespread and intense. At the end of Tuesday morning, an additional 7 to 7 inches is possible.
A grand total of 6 to 9 or 10 inches of snow is possible. The largest amounts of snow (7 to 10 inches) are reserved for areas close to the Great Lakes and the Detroit River and the St. Clair River (from Port Huron to Mt. Clemens, Monroe and Pier de Luna). The smallest amounts of snow, which will still be significant (5 to 8 inches), will occur in neighborhoods farther north and west of Detroit (Livingston County via Flint, Lapeer and Sandusky).
Tuesday will be very cold with mid-afternoon afternoon temperatures.
Wednesday will be partly sunny and cold. Daytime temperatures will be around 20 degrees.
There is a chance of snow showers on Thursday. The maximums will be close to 30 degrees.

Friday and Saturday will have a mixture of clouds and sun, again. The maxims will be in the mid-1920s.
