After a year in South Carolina and six seasons in college football in general, the defender Adam Prentice announced that his college game days are over. The 2020 graduation transfer from Colorado to South Carolina posted the following message on his Instagram account on Sunday.
“What a trip it has been! Thanks to the State of Colorado and South Carolina for giving me the opportunity to live my dream of playing college football. I am very grateful for the memories and friendships I have made over the past 6 years. As this chapter ends, I look forward to seeing where God will take me. Without him, none of this would have been possible!

In 10 games played (five games), Prentice was a key player in South Carolina’s successful rush attack in 2020. He served as a blocker for SEC regular season Rush champion Kevin Harris. Prentice also had two 13-yard receptions and two tackles on special teams. He was one of 12 Gamecocks who participated in the last day of South Carolina.
Given the free year of eligibility in 2020, Prentice said in November that he was not sure if he would return in 2021. Prentice was already he graduated in civil engineering from the state of Colorado and is pursuing a master’s degree in the same field of study in South Carolina.

2019
Played in all 12 games, including a couple of starts as a defender for the Rams as a junior redshirt … performed once by a yard against the Air Force … he took seven passes for 44 yards, including two 20-yard receptions in the -opener season against Colorado … he also had two receptions against Arkansas … he won the honors of the Fall Academic All-Mountain West.
2018
Selected by his teammates as one of the four captains of the season … he played in all 12 games and started six as a defender … he was CSU’s main defender in all games, but he did not start in six disputes because of line-up in the first game … ran 16 times for 62 yards and picked up four passes for 26 yards … set career records with eight rushes for 29 yards against Utah … led the Rams with nine special tackle teams. .. won Academic All-Mountain West and was honored Academic All-Colorado for the Colorado chapter of the National Football Foundation … nominated for the Allstate / AFCA Good Works Team for community involvement and was included on the Wuerffel Trophy watch list 2018 … was one of 12 CSU students – athletes selected to participate in a service and cultural immersion trip to Jamaica in May 2018.
2017
He played in all 13 games and started six as a defender, recording a charge for two yards and five receptions for 33 yards with a touchdown reception … served as the defender who blocked the lead for an attack that ranked 11th in the country and a hasty attack that came in 31st place … received Academic All-Mountain West honors … was Colorado State’s nominee for the Burlsworth Trophy, awarded annually to the most outstanding player who started his career as an assistant … registered his first touches on No. 1 Alabama career, pulling in two receptions for 15 yards … the longest reception of the career, 16 yards, came with victory in the state of Utah … marked his first career touchdown against the Air Force in a yard pass.
2016
Missed the season due to an injury … received a scholarship during the pre-season camp before a knee injury at the end of the season … received a red medical shirt.
2015
Redshirted during his first high school season.
