Disney + says that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier ranks as the premiere of the most watched series of all time for the streaming service during its opening weekend, Friday, March 19 – Sunday, March 22, and the most watched title overall for the same period on a global basis, including in the Disney + Hotstar markets. No display number was provided.
Disney + did not provide any degree of viewer for Falcon and the Winter Soldier specifically in relation to WandaVisiondebut on the weekend or The Mandalorianopens on weekends of the first or second season. The streaming service just mentioned that Falcon, WandaVision and 2nd season of Mandalorian are the three most watched premieres over the weekend of the streaming service.
Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, also known as The Falcon, and Sebastian Stan, as Bucky Barnes, also known as The Winter Soldier in a post Avengers: Endgame world after the Blip. With Captain America retired, the world needs a new one, however, the Falcon considers the weight of the shield to be very heavy. However, unbeknownst to him, a new Captain America was selected. Directed by Kari Skogland with Malcolm Spellman acting as the main screenwriter, the six-episode series also stars Daniel Brühl as Zemo, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter and Wyatt Russell as John Walker. The series was released on Friday and had six episodes.
