Why Ole Miss Will Win
South Carolina has had a victory since February 3 – a nine-game period with a defender struggling to get enough stops, the SEC’s worst rebounding margin and an attack it turns very often.
There are times when the shooting is happening, but it is rare. Ole Miss has a lot of problems, but rebounding is the SEC’s second best scoring defense, and has been brilliant at winning games with low scores, three wins in the last four and seven in the last nine.

Why South Carolina will win
Gamecocks may have a hard time recovering in general – that is, on the defensive side – but they lead the SEC in offensive forums partly because of all the mistakes.
Ole Miss may be among the SEC’s leaders on the brink of recovery, but they are only well in the defensive glass – South Carolina was able to stay in the 81-74 defeat in mid-February.
To achieve this, South Carolina has to be decent on the pitch – it is not a given for a team that struggles to go very far 40% – and it has to do something of three.
What will happen
Ole Miss kept going to the glass in the first game, shooting 44 free throws and hitting 34 of them. This went a long way for a South Carolina team that normally does not commit a series of fouls.
It will be another attack game plan for the rebels as they try to get to the line again and crush it. Ole Miss manages to hit the main shots, and South Carolina cannot.
