The CW is giving fans some blasts from the past, ordering a live reboot of The Powerpuff Girls and a remake of The 4400.
The network issued a pilot order for the live-action reboot of The Powerpuff Girls, and a direct order for the series for the remake of The 4400, according to Variety.
The chain also issued two more pilot orders, the DC Project Naomi by Ava DuVernay and Jill Blankenship and an untitled religious drama by Claire Rothrock and Ryann Weir.

The live action series PowerPuff Girls was first announced in development in August, although no cast has yet been announced.
The show will be based on the animated series created by Craig McCracken, which aired for six seasons and 78 episodes between 1998 and 2005.
This new program will present the heroes as ‘disillusioned young people who resent having lost their childhood to fight crime’.
