Powerball Lottery: Did you win the $ 20 million Powerball draw on Saturday? Winning numbers, live results (23/01/2021)

The Powerball jackpot for Saturday’s lottery draw fell to about $ 20 million after someone who bought a ticket in Maryland won the $ 731.7 million prize on Wednesday.

Saturday’s winning numbers were: 5, 8, 17, 27, 28. The drawn Powerball was 14 with a Power Play of 3X.

In addition to the jackpot winning ticket, three $ 1 million tickets were purchased in New Jersey for Wednesday’s draw. In all, 13 tickets for the second prize were sold across the country.

Six tickets to the third prize were also purchased at the Garden State – five for $ 50,000 and one for $ 150,000. The jackpot was the fifth largest in the history of the United States lottery.

Wednesday’s winning numbers were: 40, 53, 60, 68, 69. The drawn Powerball was 22 with a Power Play of 3X.

Prior to Wednesday, the Powerball jackpot had not been won since September 16, when someone who bought a ticket at Ballston Spa, New York, won the $ 94.6 million maximum prize.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $ 2 ticket has about 1 in 11,688,053 chances of hitting five numbers and winning at least $ 1 million, while the odds are of 913,129 for 1 to win the third prize of at least $ 50,000.

Powerball is played on Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, Washington DC, the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

The New Jersey Lottery office in Lawrence is open by appointment only. You can still claim your earnings – as long as they are less than $ 599.50 – in person at any retailer.

The lottery is also accepting claims sent by mail, although officials warn that payments may be delayed temporarily. Winners are advised to make copies of the application form and the winning ticket for their records.
