Possible major main event for WWE Fastlane

WWE hosted a major main tag team event for the WWE Fastlane pay-per-view.

Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville mentioned during tonight’s WWE SmackDown on FOX that they considered a Fastlane doubles match with Daniel Bryan and WWE Hall of Famer Edge vs. Jey Usage and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Edge and Reigns also mentioned in separate segments behind the scenes that the match was underway.

The plot of tonight’s show made the doubles match seem to have been canceled when Bryan vs. Usage has been scheduled as the main event for SmackDown. According to the stipulation, Bryan would have won a chance for the Reigns singles title in Fastlane if he could have defeated Uso. from Fastlane.

WWE did not provide an update on Bryan and Edge vs. Reigns and Usage, now that Bryan vs. Reigns are not happening, but we will keep them updated.

Fastlane will take place on March 21st at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. It will be the last pay-per-view before WrestleMania 37.
