It’s been several months since we saw the Porsche 911 Targa GTS in development, but these new photos caught a test on a snowy road. This one has no camouflage to hide the body.
The GTS will fit between the 911’s S and GT3 grades. The exact details are not yet available, but judging by the previous generation, expect the output power to be slightly higher than the S model. Features that are usually options like the Sport Chrono Package, Sports Exhaust System and other performance-focused items are likely to be standard on this model.

In comparison to the previous spy shots, this GTS finally uses a corresponding set of wheels. The design has the same design as the Turbo S, which consists of five pairs of spokes. In this case, they are completely black, instead of having a face machined in the existing version.
Our spy notes something particularly interesting about this car. Porsche hides the fabric panel, which leads the photographer to believe that engineers may be testing the updated version of the 911 generation 992. The cabin is more difficult to capture in photos, so the company can more easily hide things from curious eyes.
The new 911 GTS and the model update will not debut at the same time. This sports model should debut later this year and be available across the 911 line.
In the meantime, the update for the 992 generation is further away and probably will not even debut in 2021. The company’s usual recipe for these updates is to keep the design tweaks smaller and, often, only people who are familiar with the previous one. appearance can easily tell the difference.
