PopSockets is embracing the new MagSafe functionality of the iPhone 12 with a handful of new accessories. Leading today is PopGrip for MagSafe, which is a handle that magnetically connects to cases compatible with MagSafe for iPhone 12.
For those unfamiliar, PopSockets and PopGrips are integral iPhone accessories for many people. You simply plug one into the back of your iPhone and have a built-in handle that makes the device easier to hold. As iPhones got bigger and bigger, these accessories became more important accessories.
In total, PopSockets announced five new categories of accessories for iPhone 12 users with MagSafe. First is PopGrip for MagSafe, which magnetically connects to MagSafe-compatible cases for iPhone 12 devices.
In the past, PopGrips relied heavily on stickers to attach to iPhones and cases, but this time PopSockets is adopting the new MagSafe standard to make the process of adding and removing PopGrips significantly easier.
PopGrip for MagSafe magnetically connects to MagSafe-compatible cases for iPhone 12 devices and has a non-slip rubber bottom and a replaceable top. This grip is compatible with PopSockets PopMount 2 phone mounts, including PopMount 2 for MagSafe.
Next comes PopWallet + for MagSafe, which allows users to carry up to three cards on the back of the phone and has an integrated handle. See how PopSockets describes the accessory:
PopWallet + for MagSafe magnetically connects to MagSafe-compatible covers for iPhone 12 devices. The integrated elastic sock allows users to access their cards without removing the wallet from the device, and the product includes protection to protect credit cards from damage magnetic. The integrated handle easily rotates to change its style or functionality.
PopSockets also announced a new line of PopMount for MagSafe, including PopMount for MagSafe Multi-Surface and PopMount for MagSafe Car Vent. These solutions will be magnetically coupled to the iPhone 12 and will give users “freedom to assemble their devices at home and on the go”.
Finally, the company also unveiled a new PopGrip Slide Stretch, which features expandable arms that mechanically attach to the sides of most phone cases, including most iPhone 12 cases. “Users can slide this handle towards the bottom of your devices to serve as a portrait stand and also to attach MagSafe accessories without removing the strap, ”explains the company.
There will also be a version of the PopGrip Slide designed specifically for the iPhone 12 with Apple silicone covers.
Availability is as follows:
- PopGrip for MagSafe will be released in spring 2021
- PopWallet + for MagSafe will be released in the spring of 2021
- The PopMount for MagSafe line, starting with PopMount for MagSafe Multi-Surface and PopMount for MagSafe Car Vent, will be launched in the summer of 2021
- PopGrip Slide Stretch will launch on March 21 on PopSockets.com and in select locations across the country, followed shortly after by a broader launch
- PopGrip Slide will be released on May 1 at PopSockets.com and Apple stores
