Police use a drone with an infrared camera to break into a Birmingham sports club, recording studio and VIP lounge – RT UK News

West Midlands police raided a clandestine nightclub with about 150 people, and police officers were confronted by drug dealers. Another operation hit an underground bar called ‘The Covid Arms’.

The operation, near Birmingham’s Jewelery Quarter, was conducted on Sunday morning. Police deployed thermal imaging drones to track people trying to escape from the roof, according to their own report.

It is estimated that 150 people were found spread over two floors of the establishment, with about a third of them managing to escape. The police imposed fines of £ 200 ($ 280) on 70 visitors, while the DJ could face a fine of £ 10,000 ($ 14,000).

The illegal nightclub had its own gym, recording studio and VIP area. Keeping the building under control had difficulties for law enforcement. Some policemen were shot with bottles and one suffered minor injuries when people trying to escape broke a door.

A separate attack on Saturday night was carried out in the British city of Dudley Port. The owner of an illegal club, which they found in a workshop – which was called ‘The Covid Arms’, no less – received a £ 1,000 ($ 1,400) fine. A dozen customers were dismissed with a warning after receiving lectures on the dangers of Covid-19, according to images released by the police.

French police arrest giant ‘orgy’ inside the warehouse and fine over 90 people for violating Covid-19’s curfew – media

Media-driven police attacks targeting revelers who violate the blockade have become regular events in the UK, as the government struggles to convince a section of the population that it cannot behave as if the epidemic does not exist. The situation is no different in some other European countries, where several people apparently simply cannot live without an occasional “orgy”.
