A teacher in Central Florida found herself behind bars after police said she fought a group of students outside a fast food restaurant after a high school basketball game.
NBC affiliate WFLA-TV reports that the incident occurred on Friday in Bartow, where a group of students got involved in an altercation in the game. Afterwards, the group went to eat at a McDonald’s in the area.
At the restaurant, Liquindella Clark – a teacher in Polk County and the mother of another teenager who was said to be involved in the first fight at school – approached the group and started arguing with them, according to the Bartow Police Department.

Clark was removed from the restaurant, but waited in the parking lot and reportedly started to physically fight the group. Police say Clark hit a student in the face, took off his wig and hit another student on the head.
Witnesses called the police, who arrived and arrested Clark. She faces child abuse charges in the case. Authorities did not say whether she would be suspended from her teaching post pending an investigation.
