Police – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

The bodies of six people were found inside an Allen home early Monday morning in an apparent mass murder-suicide, Allen police said.

The officers were asked to do a welfare check at around 1 am in a house on block 1500 on Pine Bluff Drive. When the police entered the residence, they discovered the bodies of six people.

The names and ages of the victims were not confirmed, but police said they included a grandfather, two parents and three children.

“It appears that two teenage children have entered into an agreement that they would commit suicide and that they would take their family members with them,” Allen Police Sgt. Jon Felty told KRLD-AM Monday morning.

It was not confirmed when the deaths occurred.

Felty said there was no threat to the neighborhood and that there were no reported problems in the house, KRLD reported.

The family, said Felty, apparently emigrated from Bangladesh.
