It took 3 policemen to stop a major NFL striker Chad Wheeler during bloody domestic violence in his girlfriend’s apartment … and the police described the battle as if they were trying to subdue a bear.
According to several police reports, obtained by TMZ Sports, police officers from the Kent Police Department were informed that the suspect in the January 22 incident was the Seattle Seahawks OL Chad Wheeler, who was listed at 1.98 m.
When they arrived at the scene and saw that Chad’s GF was seriously injured, they said they ran to subdue the 27-year-old … despite the fact that he fights against bigger and stronger men to live.
A policeman said in the documents: “When I grabbed Chad, I realized that he was very solid and muscular, as he was not easy to move.”
The officer said he began to understand Wheeler’s strength when all three policemen piled on top of him – and that barely slowed Wheeler down.
“As the three of us (with a combined weight of around 700 pounds) were on top of Chad, I could feel him lifting his body as if he were pushing to escape,” said an officer.
“Chad, whose enormous size took up the entire length and width of the bathroom floor, was able to lift his body about three to six inches temporarily with what appeared to be little effort from him.”
According to the police report, police say Wheeler did not cooperate … so they used a Taser in an attempt to stop him – but it had “little or no effect”.
When officers were finally ready to put him in handcuffs, Wheeler’s size and strength remained an important factor.
“Chad was so strong that even with the combined weight of three policemen he was able to move and prevent us from putting his arms behind his back,” said an officer.
Ultimately, the cops managed to take Wheeler into custody – but they said he was so big that they were worried that he wouldn’t fit in a normal police vehicle … so they called the larger prison van to take him to the police station.
Wheeler was arrested later and hit with three criminal charges – including first-degree domestic violence assault – on the incident.
Events took place over the weekend that resulted from a manic episode. I deeply regret the pain and suffering I caused Alleah and her family.

The NFL player – who blamed all his actions on a “manic episode” – pleaded not guilty to the charges at a Washington court hearing on Monday.
He is expected to return to court later this month.
