O Pokémon The franchise celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and, to mark the occasion, The Pokémon Company International is launching a series of musical events. Pop singer Katy Perry is the headline of P25, which will feature “artists on the rise to award-winning global superstars”.
Few other details were shared about the program, other than a brief video teaser. The company will also carry out activations for anime, games and more.
Perry’s had a brief but only presence in previous games. In 2012, she recorded a distorted version of her hit “Last Friday Night” in Simlish for The sims 3 and appears in the game with an expansion pack. It looks like she’s going to at least sing her own song for Pokémon.
