Referral system rewards for both instructors
The referrer can claim rewards only if he has added that coach to his Friends List. Trainers can only be appointed if they have not played Pokémon GO before or if they have not played Pokémon GO in the last 90 days.
All of these tasks need to be completed by the referred instructor to be counted as completed. Most of the tasks were designed to attract and keep that coach playing for a while – at least a month judging by the mission’s requirements.
Make sure to add the player referred to as a friend on Pokémon GO in order to claim rewards. You must have space on your Friends List to add that Coach. Fortunately, Niantic started expanding the size of your friends list recently.
