Pokémon GO is about to close its Hoenn Celebration Event before moving on to the Johto Celebration Event next week. This is not the only event related to Pokémon Go this weekend, as Niantic is holding another of what they call the Day of Incense. They are not focused on just one Pokémon, although it is definitely built around a certain one. This Pokémon this time is Mareep to coincide with the launch of Mega Ampharos in raids last week and led this Incense Day to be focused on Pokémon of the Electric and Dragon type.
Which electric Pokémon and dragon appears when?
Pokémon GO Electric and Dragon Incense Day will be held on Sunday, January 24 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm local time. Unlike saying a Community Day where the same Pokémon will appear all day, Incense Day is more like what we saw at GO Fest this summer, with the change of Pokémon every two hours. Also, unlike Community Day, you need to use incense to make these Pokémon appear, since just walking around you won’t see this one appear.
To start, Mareep will be available all day due to the launch of Mega Ampharos. Not only that, but the previous Community Day exclusive move, Dragon Pulse, will be available if you evolve the next form from Mareep, Flaffy, to Ampharos during this time. In addition to Mareep, there will be 13 other Pokémon that will appear when you are using Incense, but depending on the next hour break.

As you can see, there are fewer hours for the Dragon type Pokémon, so this is something you will have to make sure not to miss. For those looking to complete the Hoenn Collection Challenge, this will be the best way to get Plusle, Minun and Bagon for sure. In addition, all Pokémon, except Stunfisk and Vibrava, currently have a brilliant shape in Pokémon GO, so keep an eye on that too. During Incense Day, the store will also have a coin box containing three Incense sticks, which you definitely want to take advantage of during this event.
