Pokémon GO Gucci items now free for everyone to encourage player safety

Pokémon GO will no longer have to leave the security of their homes to obtain avatar items from the Gucci x The North Face game.

After all parties have announced a crossing for a limited time between Gucci and The north face with Pokémon GO, a promotional code that will allow players to collect cosmetic items from the event without leaving the safety of their homes has been launched. This measure was put into practice by Pokémon GO and the two fashion brands in light of the current global pandemic to help ensure player safety.

Gucci and The North Face sparked collaboration with Pokémon GO in December and revealed the biggest details earlier this year. Players can visit 100 select cities in the U.S. and spin specific Pokéstops to redeem three different cosmetic items for their in-game avatars. Of course, this would require players to leave their homes to travel to eligible Pokéstops to pick up a digital hat, backpack or t-shirt. With just a few days of promotion, employees decided to make the event content available to everyone.

Although it was not publicly announced by Gucci, Northface or Pokémon GO, Serebii.net reported that a special promotional code will allow players to collect two of each of the digital rewards for free, without leaving their home. The universal code that players can use is GXSD5CJ556NHG. It can be used via the code entry function in the Android versions of the game, or players can visit this Niantic Labs page and log in to their Pokémon GO account. Because it is a universal code, players can use the same promotional code to redeem items in multiple accounts.

Gucci x The North Face collaborates with Pokémon GO it’s similar to the Paris Fashion Week crossover, except that players won’t be able to find any trendy Pokémon in the jungle. The Paris Fashion Week event, however, brought several fantastically dressed Pokémon to Pokémon GO, who could also look bright and elegantly dressed if players were lucky. The event also included special cosmetics for coaches, but they were given to players free of charge from the start of the event, without the need for a promotional code. Many players, however, had to leave their homes to find the Pokémon in costume.

These fashion intersections with Pokémon GO unconventional, but having won $ 1 billion in 2020, it makes sense that brands want to collaborate with Pokémon GO. Brands like Gucci and Pokémon are an unlikely pair, but now players can have “drip” in and out of the game. However, players will need much more than a promotional code to access real life Gucci x The north face merchandise on which these promotional items are based.
