Pokémon Go Charge Up event guide: timed survey and rewards

Pokémon GoThe most recent event is Charge Up, with a focus on electric monsters.

The event takes place from March 16 to 22. During the event, you will encounter Pokémon as Mareep, Pikachu, and Joltik in nature, just like Pokémon like Shinx and Electrike incubation of eggs. Most notably, the event adds some new electric-type Pokémon to the game: Tynamo, Eelektrik, and Eelektross. The Therian Forme of Thundurus also made its raid debut, and Mega Manectric was added to the list of available Mega Evolutions.

Players who wish to complete the Searching for Legends Special Survey should take advantage of this event, as a party requires having Thundurus and capturing many Pokémon of the electric type.

As with everyone Pokémon Go events, there is a set of Field Research that you can obtain in Poké Stops, as well as a Timed Survey that you can complete during the event period.

Charged Up Timed Research

Step 1 of 4

• Pick up 5 Pokémon of the electric type (encounter with Pikachu)
• Evolve a Pokémon (encounter with Voltorb)
• Energize a Pokémon 5 times (10 Poké Balls)

Reward: Tynamo encounter, 1 Unova Stone, 10 Mega Energy Ampharos

Step 2 of 4

• Make 3 good consecutive moves (Magnemite encounter)
• Make 3 curved pitches (Magnemite encounter)
• Make 3 great launches (Magnemite encounter)

Reward: meeting with magneton, 1 Sinnoh Stone, 10 Mega Manic Energy

Step 3 of 4

• Use 7 berries to help catch Pokémon (10 Poké Balls)
• Evolve 3 Pokémon of the electric type (encounter Electabuzz)
• Energize the Pokémon 10 times (3 Razz Berries)

Reward: Porygon encounter, 1 update, 10 Mega Energy Ampharos

Step 4 of 4

• Download 15 Pokémon (10 Poké Balls)
• Evolve 5 Pokémon of the electric type (encounter with Jolteon)
• Energize the Pokémon 15 times (metric encounter)
