Without revealing many secrets, several South Carolina Gamecocks provided a glimpse into what crime will look like in 2021.
Offensive Coordinator Marcus Satterfield, who spent the last season with the Carolina Panthers, will employ a system that has been characterized by its current players as a professional style.
“It’s a streamlined, professional-style attack,” said wide receiver Jalen Brooks, who picked up 11 passes for 100 yards last season for the Gamecocks.
“We are going to throw the ball. We are going to run the ball, but there are many opportunities for everyone to make plays ”.
This includes running backs, where there are several returnees, including ZaQuandre White.
“I would just say that this attack is more of a NFL, professional style,” he said.
Three quarterbacks on scholarships are competing for a starting spot in that backfield. Luke Doty, the only one who came back from last season, is being challenged by Jason Brown and Colten Gauthier.
“Let’s get together,” said Brown. “We are going to mix everything up. We will try to put the defense on alert in the best possible way. And we will try to take advantage of everything we can, so that we have maximum success. “
Brown launched a widespread attack on Saint Francis, where he pitched for 3,084 yards and 28 touchdowns in 2019. Colten Gauthier was a junior at Hebron Christian Academy that season, during which he had 2,401 yards and 20 touchdowns.
