Plastic surgeon dies of COVID-19 after patient coughs on him: report

A Beverly Hills plastic surgeon who appeared on “The Doctors” died of COVID-19 after contracting the disease when a woman without a mask coughed while he injected her lip, according to a report.

Dr. Payman Simoni, 50, was wearing a mask last month while performing the elective procedure on the woman, who had completed a COVID questionnaire and had her temperature checked – although she has not been tested for the virus, TMZ reported.

She contacted the doctor’s office a few days later to report that she later tested positive for the deadly virus, according to the shot.

Simoni, who was quarantined, was later hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was placed on a ventilator after experiencing a variety of symptoms, including shortness of breath, according to TMZ.

Sources told the agency that Simoni ended up being put into an induced coma before he died of cerebral hemorrhage on Friday.

“The shock is that he was perfectly healthy,” family friend Katy Amiri-Younesi told KCAL. “He’s a doctor, I called him when I was with COVID. He was instructing me on what to do. “

He added: “He was a doctor. And he took all the protocols. “

Simoni recently appeared in an upcoming episode of “Gown and Out in Beverly Hills”, during which he performed the same procedure on Patrik Simpson, TMZ reported.

The patient told the establishment that he had been instructed to take a COVID test and the test was previously negative.
