Plants versus zombies: Battle for Neighbourville arrives on Nintendo Switch on March 19, with a new complete edition.
A press release from Electronic Arts said that this will be the first game developed for Switch with the company’s Frostbite engine.
“We are excited to bring everyone’s favorites Plants versus zombies Nintendo Switch characters for the first time, giving players the ability to play at home or on the go, however they want, ”said Melvin Teo, producer at PopCap Vancouver. “Switch motion controls allow us to experience a new approach to Neighbourville, and with its docked and portable game, we have the ability to bring the game and its characters to life in ways that were not possible before.”
Plants Against Zombies: Battle for Neighborhood is the third game in the Garden Warfare spinoff from PopCap Vancouver. It was released in October 2019 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One, and had its last game update a year later. The full edition of the Nintendo Switch will allow players to unlock all the customization content and characters from the original game, which was released in a seasonal model.
The Switch version is being co-developed by the Polish studio QLOC.
