It’s a great time to buy a Chromebook. There are models for all budgets, and regardless of whether you buy a very cheap or one of the best Chromebooks, you’ll have a good experience doing what Chromebooks do best – acting as a portal to the internet.
Some of the things we’ve seen so far for 2021 look pretty good, especially if you’re interested in spending a little more and buying a more sophisticated model. Acer, ASUS, Samsung and other companies have realized that people are willing to spend more than $ 300 on a Chromebook, so they have increased it one or two levels to offer better specifications and a better level of build quality that comes with spending more money on a computer.

I wanted to start by saying this, and I think a lot of the new Chromebooks do things better than Pixelbook Go. I would like my Pixelbook Go to have a higher resolution screen without buying the more expensive model, to have a 3: 2 aspect ratio like the Acer Spin 713 and was more user friendly when it comes to adding storage space. I would also like the speakers to be better and have at least one legacy USB port because some of the things I want to use still don’t use USB-C.
But even with all those complaints, if I were to buy a new mid-range or high-end Chromebook today, it would be a Pixelbook Go. Why? Because of the keyboard and the trackpad.

For some reason, these two things seem to be the hardest parts for any laptop manufacturer to get right. Getting the keys the right size, giving enough stroke while pressing them as you type, and making sure you get feedback so you know they hit the bottom instead of a simple piece of mushy resistance isn’t something you’ll find on many laptop computers. any type. Even Apple was wrong here when it changed the MacBook keyboard.
The keyboard and trackpad seem to be really hard to hit for a laptop manufacturer.
A trackpad must be sensitive, but reject accidental things like letting a second finger strain or let the palm rest along the edge. The hardware must be fast so that the cursor moves in real time without any delay. And it needs to be covered with something that is smooth, but not also skillful, at least if you touch one instead of “clicking” one.
Pixelbook Go does everything about the keyboard and trackpad very, very well. The combo is the best of any laptop I’ve ever used, and that includes a MacBook Pro) and the larger original Pixelbook. And for me, this is what gives me a sufficient advantage to buy over anything else.

I don’t like that idea at all. I want to be able to say that a newer model with a newer processor or a folding hinge or even support for a digital pen is what I would buy. There is also the fact that a newer Chromebook will be supported for longer. And I’m jealous of the display of some Samsung offers.
As I type all day, every day, I have to choose a Pixelbook Go.
And if you don’t spend all day typing and just want to use your Chromebook as a really cool and very well built casual machine to play some games or watch a movie or program, you should probably think twice before buying a Pixelbook Vai. We all have different needs and wants.
At the moment, my needs and wants are best met by the little Pixelbook Go. Everyone except one – I really want a Chromebook with everything else in place to finally have a great keyboard and trackpad.
