PITTSBURGH – Cornerback Joe Haden tested positive for COVID-19, a source told Dan Graziano of ESPN, creating a significant hole in the Steelers’ secondary with the playoffs only a week away.
Even if asymptomatic, positive test players should be isolated for at least 10 days, making it likely that Haden missed the first round of the playoffs, along with Sunday’s game of the week 17 against the Cleveland Browns – a team dealing with their COVID- 19 situation itself this week.
Haden suggested the situation with a vague tweet Saturday morning.
I’m so upset and sad at the same time ….. stay safe here

Haden, a former Browns player who suffered two interceptions this season, lost a game earlier this year due to a concussion.
With Haden out, versatile backs Cam Sutton and Mike Hilton are expected to play increasing roles. Sutton was the main substitute for Haden and also cornerback Steve Nelson, when they both lost time.
