AIKEN COUNTY (WFXG) – According to the Aiken County Coroner’s Office, a person died after a fatal accident on the Old 96 Indian Trail in Batesburg.
According to officials, the Aiken County Coroner’s Office was called to block 2100 on the Old 96 Indian Trail at 6:51 am.
The driver, 25-year-old Dexter Vallet, was the sole occupant of a 2004 Nissan SUV. Authorities say Vallet was not wearing a seat belt.
Vallet was traveling north on the Old 96 Indian Trail when the vehicle left the right side of the road, overturned and ejected it from the vehicle.
Vallet was pronounced dead at the scene due to blunt injuries.
The Coroner’s Office and the Aiken County Highway Patrol are continuing their investigation at this time.
Toxicological analyzes are pending.
