ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Those hoping to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment in Pinellas County were unable to do so on Saturday morning due to technical difficulties, according to a tweet from the health department and its third-party supplier.
Scheduling registration was supposed to start online at 10am on Saturday, but the site was not working when many people tried to log on.
The health department says its third-party vendor experienced a national server crash on Saturday morning, which prevented consultations for Pinellas County from being activated. The server problem was fixed on Saturday afternoon and the site was back online at around 1:45 pm
