Piers Morgan beat Meghan Markle’s friend Patrick J Adams after the Suits actor attacked the Royal Family and suggested that it should be abolished.

The GMB host labeled him an “impulsive idiot” and said his comments were “disgusting” after the Canadian actor’s long Twitter post.

The fight came after Buckingham Palace opened an investigation into allegations that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex intimidated Kensington Palace officials.

Mr Adams, 39, who played Meghan’s husband on screen, wrote: ‘Meghan Markle and I spent most of a decade working together on Suits.

‘From the first day she was an enthusiastic, kind, cooperative, generous, cheerful and supportive member of our television family. She remained that person and colleague according to the accumulated fame, prestige and power.

‘She has always been a powerful woman with a deep sense of morality and a fierce work ethic and has never been afraid to speak, to be heard and to defend herself and those she loves.

‘Like the rest of the world, I have watched her navigate the past few years in amazement.

‘She fell in love, moved to a new country, became a household name all over the world and started the difficult job of trying to find her place in a family dynamic that can, at best, be described as complicated and , at worst, apparently archaic and toxic. ‘

He continued, “And then they welcomed Archie. And on any kind of decent planet, this would be the time to stop sharpening your knives and let these two people enjoy the magical first few months and years of starting a family. But we don’t live on that planet, and the hunt continued instead.

‘IT IS OBSCENE that the Royal Family, which is the newest member currently GROWING UP WITH HER, is promoting and expanding accusations of’ bullying ‘against a woman who was basically forced to flee the UK to protect her family and her own mental health.

‘IMO, this newest chapter and its moment are just another striking example of the shame of an institution that has survived its relevance, it is very overblown in credibility and apparently bankrupt in decency.

‘Find someone to admonish, rebuke and torment. My friend Meghan is out of your reach.

Morgan, 55, replied: ‘Actually, what is’ OBSCENE’ is your friend destroying her husband’s family on global TV while the Queen’s 99-year-old husband is in the hospital.

‘How dare you attack our royal family like that, you bouncy idiot.’

He added: ‘Meghan Markle’s showbiz mates who flew and crawled to royalty at their wedding now publicly destroying the Monarchy – and suggesting that it be abolished.

‘Disgusting.’

At least 10 former members of the royal team are prepared to participate in the Buckingham Palace inquiry, which will be conducted by the human resources department, Mirror reported.

Buckingham Palace said it was “very concerned” about accusations of intimidation by former royal officials against Meghan when it opened the investigation this week.

Previous and current officials have been asked to speak confidentially about their work experiences to the Duchess.

Jason Knauf, the then Sussex communications secretary, reportedly filed a bullying complaint in October 2018 in an apparent attempt to get Buckingham Palace to protect the team.

Mr. Knauf reportedly sent an email describing the duchess’s alleged actions to Simon Case, the then private secretary of the Duke of Cambridge and now the cabinet secretary, after conversations with Samantha Carruthers, the head of human resources.

On Wednesday, Palace confirmed that its HR team will 'review' the allegations, saying it 'does not tolerate and does not tolerate intimidation or harassment in the workplace'

The allegations of bullying emerged in a 2018 email sent by Harry and Meghan's press chief, Jason Knauf, who now works for Prince William. Mr. Case then referred him to Mrs. Carruthers, who worked at Clarence House.

Downing Street said Boris Johnson continued to have full confidence in Simon Case, but allegations of intimidation were the palace’s business.

Mr Knauf wrote in his e-mail: ‘I am very concerned that the Duchess managed to expel two PAs from her home last year. X’s treatment was totally unacceptable.

– The Duchess seems determined to always have someone in view. She is intimidating Y and trying to undermine her confidence.

‘We received reports after reports from people who witnessed unacceptable behavior towards Y.’

Knauf left a few months after making his allegations and is now a close aide to Harry’s brother, working as chief executive of the Royal Foundation of William and Kate.

Meghan’s spokesman said: ‘The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been bullied and is deeply committed to supporting those who have gone through pain and trauma.

“She is determined to continue her work building compassion around the world and will continue to strive to set an example of doing what is right and doing what is good.”
