GUILDHALL, Vt. (WHDH) – A house in Guildhall, Vermont that looks apparently normal on the outside has an unusual feature.

The historic home built in 1880 on Courthouse Drive has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and seven prison cells, according to a list on Realtor.com.

The building served as a Essex County prison until 1969, the main house being the jailer’s residence.

The prison still maintains the original prison cells with barred windows and the jailer’s office.

The property is being sold for $ 149,000.
