The official poster for the fight fell to UFC 260 on March 27 live on ESPN + PPV from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, featuring the heavyweight rematch between defending champion Stipe Miocic and No. 1 contender Francis Ngannou.
Miocic, who is widely considered the best heavyweight fighter of all time, comes from a trilogy of fights with former UFC champion Daniel Cormier. Stipe came out on top with a 2-1 record, but the last time the heavyweight champion fought anyone other than “DC” was against Ngannou in 2018, which Miocic won by unanimous decision. This will be Miocic’s opportunity to prove that he can still defend his title against growing contenders in the heavyweight division.
For Ngannou, this will be his second opportunity to steal the Miocic heavyweight title in the UFC. The terrible force puncher ended his last four knockout fights in the first round, but Ngannou recorded less than three minutes in the octagon during that period. This includes his last appearance in May last year, which lasted only 20 seconds against Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Needless to say, Ngannou will need to show new layers for his game against a champion who won him over five rounds in his last encounter.

In addition to Miocic vs. Ngannou 2, UFC 260 will feature a main co-event clash between featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski and former title challenger Brian Ortega. Volkanovski comes from consecutive victories over former champion Max Holloway and will try to raise his unbeaten UFC record to 10-0.
