A photo of Vermont independent senator Bernie Sanders sitting alone in the possession of President Biden went viral on social media on Wednesday.

The photo shows the former 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, dressed in winter clothes and a mask, sitting in a socially distant crowd watching Biden’s inauguration.

The official Twitter account for “People for Bernie”, a popular movement in support of the former presidential candidate, tweeted the photo and called for a “caption contest”.

The woolen gloves of the Vermont senator, which drew media attention after the photo went viral, are not unfamiliar to the public. They even have their own Twitter account.

Professor Jen Ellis of Essex Junction, Vt., Made and presented Sanders with the gloves last January, according to the Vermont News agency Seven Days.
