Colts quarterback Philip Rivers hopes to score some points this weekend, while the Colts need a win and help to reach the playoffs.

After making that admission, Rivers made another one about what the results of Sunday’s games could mean for his career. Rivers has a one-year contract with the Colts and the 39-year-old acknowledged that he has already considered the fact that Sunday’s game could be his last.

“It crossed my mind. If things don’t go the way do you want this weekend, It could be . . . I think it is healthy to have that thought because we have no guarantee of anything in the future, ”said Rivers, through Stephen Holder of TheAthletic.com.

There is no sign that Rivers is planning this to be his last cry and Colts coach Frank Reich said ahead of the season that he expects Rivers to spend several years with the Colts before reiterating that sentiment this month. This suggests that it is not likely to be Rivers’ final turn, but the final answers on that front will not come soon.
