PHILADELPHIA – Even with a small team around him, Philadelphia Eagles rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts is still finding a way to be an ace.

Hurts ran for a pair of consecutive possessions touchdowns in the second quarter of Sunday’s regular season final against the Washington Football Team.

In doing so, Hurts became the Eagles’ first quarterback with two TDs running in a game since 2010, when Michael Vick achieved the feat against the same Washington team on Monday Night Football. It turns out that Hurts wore a Vick shirt for the game on Sunday night.

The first touchdown for Hurts came in a 6-yard run on the right touchline with 10:24 remaining in the first half. A little more than six minutes later, he shot through the middle when the pocket collapsed and again found the final zone.

Hurts now has three TDs running this season to go with six pass touchdowns.

The Eagles played only three of their offensive players on Sunday. Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and quarterback Carson Wentz were two healthy strokes, and running back Miles Sanders, wide receiver DeSean Jackson and tight end Dallas Goedert were among the excluded due to injuries.
