Pharmacist arrested for leaving COVID-19 vaccines out of the fridge

According to reports, a Wisconsin pharmacist was arrested by police after being accused of removing 57 vials of COVID-19 vaccine made by Moderna from a local hospital refrigerator. Steven Bradenburg, 46, was arrested and taken to Ozaukee County Prison.

The police reported that the man left the coronavirus vaccine, “knowing that it would not be usable”. The reports noted that Brandenburg admitted in a written statement that they purposely removed the bottles with the knowledge that they would be useless as a result.

Brandenburg admitted that the bottles were left out for a long time on 24 and 25 December. The vaccine can last up to 12 hours outside the refrigerator, according to Moderna. Brandenburg was charged with criminal property damage, adulterin a prescription drug and a first-degree crime that puts security recklessly.
