Peter Weber’s mother, Barb, ‘put a lot of pressure’ on the pilot’s relationship with Kelley Flanagan

Peter Weber said his relationship with girlfriend Kelley Flanagan “just didn’t work out in the end” when he announced the split via Instagram last week.

But a source close to the situation says the notoriously “authoritarian” mother of the 29-year-old pilot, Barbara, may have played a role in the couple’s premature separation.

‘Barb put a lot of pressure on them, which was definitely difficult,’ said the source, who discussed the end of Kelley and Peter’s nine-month romance with E! News on Tuesday.

The source said that although 28-year-old lawyer Kelley ‘thought Barb was too controlling and overbearing’, she really tried not to allow it to affect [her] relationship ‘with Peter.

Despite Barb’s reputation for meddling in his son’s love life, the source insisted that it did not represent an ‘important factor’ in Peter and Kelley’s decision to separate, noting that ‘[Barb] got along with Kelley and they liked each other. ‘

Barbara even left a heartfelt comment on her son’s posting about the split on Instagram, where she admitted that she and her husband Peter ‘heart hurt’ for the couple.

The biggest problem between the two was Peter’s commitment issues, with the source revealing: ‘Peter is not ready to be with a girl.’

Weber showed his lack of commitment to the entire world in March 2020, revealing that he canceled his engagement to fiancee Hannah Ann Sluss, 24, whom he proposed in the last episode of The Bachelor.

The Delta Airlines pilot announced his Flanagan spit a few days before they moved to a place together in Manhattan, New York.

Kelley was avidly documenting the change on her own Instagram, often sharing images of her packing up her belongings.

Peter would have ‘thought he could move in to Kelley’s house, but he couldn’t handle it’.
