A woman who claimed to be Pete Davidson’s wife was arrested for breaking into her home.

The Saturday Night Live star was recently the subject of a false press release, alleging that he married ‘childhood friend’ Michelle Mootreddy.

According to TMZ, Mootreddy came in through an open side door and sat at the kitchen table, before being taken into custody.

Although Davidson, 27, was not at home at the time, one of his relatives discovered the intruder and called the police.

This happened after Mootreddy released a statement on Tuesday through producer Bodega Cats Presents, saying: ‘Pete and Michelle were childhood friends before starting Bodega Cats Presents and are married.’

The press release included a quote from the pseudo-groom: ‘I am very excited to be part of this company and to help people get started in this sector.
