Perdue supports other Republican senators in challenging the election, explains why he will not join them

Senator David Perdue, R-Ga., Days of a decisive runoff against Democrat Jon Ossoff, supported his fellow Republicans who continue to challenge the results of the November presidential election.

Perdue supported the efforts of Republican senators like Ted Cruz, who plan to challenge the electoral votes of several states when the election results are formally declared at a joint session of Congress on Wednesday.

THE GOP SENATORS WANT AN ELECTORAL COMMISSION LIKE THE 1876 RACE DECIDED

“You know, when I first saw the magnitude of the irregularities in December, in early December, about our November race, I asked for the resignation of our Secretary of State, I repeatedly called a special session of the General Assembly to investigate,” he told the Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures”.

“None of this happened, so I started shouting that the only thing left for the president is our objection and I agreed that I would do that,” continued Perdue.

Perdue recalled that he himself will not participate in the objection because, even if he wins on Tuesday, his victory will still not be certified.

Later in the interview, Perdue continued his accusations against his Democratic opponent Jon Ossoff, claiming that Ossoff lied about other Chinese ties, such as the payment of the Hong Kong company PCCW Media Limited, which is linked to the Chinese government.

“He was paid by them for two years, has been encouraging people to follow Chinese propaganda, this is what Xinhua does and this is what the PCCW does, and he participated in that for two years,” said Perdue, claiming that China targets young Americans whom they could influence. “He hid it from the people of Georgia during his primaries, got caught, lied about it, finally revealed it and then lied about it again.”

Perdue went on to say that Ossoff deflected a question about China in an interview with Fox News.

“He never answered the question about his relationship with the CCP,” said the Republican.

During a conversation on Thursday with Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy, Ossoff described the accusations that he did not disclose the PCCW’s compensation as “total nonsense”.

Ossoff said his media company “produced several investigations of atrocities committed by ISIS war criminals. And those investigations were broadcast on dozens of television channels in dozens of countries around the world. And one of those television channels was in Hong Kong. Is the whole substance of Senator Perdue’s campaign against me. “
