Emma Watson fans are praising her performances after her agent said her career was “dormant”.

Chat about her speculated retirement it started after the Daily Mail published an article in which his agent said his career was on hold and that Watson “is not making any new commitments”.

An unidentified source also told the publication that Watson “went underground” and has been “hidden” with alleged partner Leo Robinton.

The 30-year-old actress, known for playing Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” film franchise based on the novels by JK Rowling, started to become a trend on Twitter as people shared photos and videos of her best moments on the screen.

Watson achieved fame as a child actor by playing the most brilliant witch of his age in the 2001 film “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”. The film marked her debut as an actress and she continued to play the character in sequences released in 2011.

After playing Hermione in a total of eight “HP” films, she switched to other roles in Hollywood.

This included playing a teenager named Sam in the 2012 adaptation of “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”, starring in a movie called “The Bling Ring” (based on a real-life group of high school students who stole celebrities) and playing Belle in the 2017 Disney remake of “Beauty and the Beast”.

Her most recent role was playing Meg March, one of the four sisters, in Greta Gerwig’s 2019 starring adaptation of “Little Women”.

Outside of acting, Watson has spoken openly about his desire to narrow gender disparities.

She is a UN Women’s Goodwill Ambassador who gave lectures at the United Nations, traveled to countries to raise awareness of global issues and launched the HeForShe campaign in 2014 in response to gender inequalities. The actress also expressed support for Time’s Up and the #MeToo movement.

In addition, she founded a bimonthly book club called Our Shared Shelf, centered on impacting novels.

Watson also created an Instagram account focused on disseminating information about sustainable and environmentally friendly clothing used by her during appearances in the press.

A Watson representative did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
