Pennsylvania closing at 1 million greedy cases as numbers continue to rise

New cases of coronavirus continue to increase week after week at state and local levels in Pennsylvania, according to figures released Monday by the Department of Health.

There have been 3,920 new cases of covid-19 recorded in the state in the past two days, the Department of Health reported on Monday. It is a jump of almost 19% compared to last week’s two-day report. The last time the state saw more new cases in a report from Sunday to Monday was February 14-15, when 4,516 new cases were reported.

Even so, the number of new cases in the last two days was less than the 4,213 cases posted on Friday. This was the largest single-day post in the state in six weeks.

At its current pace, Pennsylvania could reach 1 million cases in a week.
