Although Cuomo apologized for “making anyone feel uncomfortable”, the Democrat said he “never touched anyone inappropriately”.

Schumer reiterated that call on Sunday, telling MSNBC that Cuomo has lost the confidence of others he needs to lead his home state.

During a conference call on Friday, Cuomo made it clear that he would not resign, despite public pressure.
“I will not resign. I was not elected by politicians, I was elected by the people,” he said, insisting that “New Yorkers know me”.
