Pelissero: 49ers CB Richard Sherman is “open” for a Seahawks meeting

The Seattle Seahawks signed Kerry Hyder Jr. and Ahkello Witherspoon. DJ Reed is already a regular in the Seattle secondary. Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network said in Good morning football Wednesday the Seahawks could add another 49er:

“Richard Sherman is open to return to Seattle. I believe the Seahawks would also be open to having Sherman back. This is not like Earl Thomas, where he was really bitter in the end. These are the two sides when the time has come [to move on]. … The problem is going to be money. ”

The 49ers have their secondary in place. Sherm was unlikely to be returning to San Francisco, but after rehiring Emmanuel Moseley, Jason Verrett and K’Waun Williams, it is unlikely that the 49ers could afford Sherman’s services.

Sherman will be 33 later this month. He publicly stated that his market has been slow to this point, which shouldn’t be a surprise, considering how much time Sherman lost last season.

Sherman was hated for obvious reasons during his time in Seattle. That has changed, and many fans have given a 180 rating on how they feel about Sherman. If he goes back to the Seahawks, I can only imagine the comments. On Tuesday, fans were calling Hyder a “traitor” and how little he means, etc., etc. If a third 49er joins Seattle this off-season, fans may lose.
