According VarietyBBC Police Drama Peaky Blinders– starring Cillian Murphy as the emerging gangster Tommy Shelby in post-World War I England – will come to a somewhat surprising end after his sixth season (it’s on Netflix here in the colonies). The program resumed production after ending everything due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Variety says the announcement of the show’s imminent return was accompanied by the revelation that the sixth season will also be the last. This is contrary to what creator Steven Knight and previously indicated, as he said in the past that the show would last at least seven seasons, but fans can at least take comfort in the fact that this will not be the end of the Peaky Blinders franchise as a whole: Knight adds that the program will live somehow, with Variety assuming there will be a “spin-off movie or show”.

We could also guess a comic book or a video game, since the former is relatively easy and the latter has already been done (there is an Peaky Blinders video game!), but we have no idea. Either way, the Peaky Blinders The TV show will return (and end) later this year or the beginning of the next, and then continue in some other way.
