Peacock reveals cold opening never seen before from the office

After leaving Netflix in the United States, The Office officially switched to NBC’s Peacock streaming service. As part of the celebration, NBC unveiled an unprecedented cold show that is sure to please fans. Twitter of Peacock, the clip shows Dwight being tricked by Jim once again when he is led to believe he is in the Matrix.

Like the 1999 film he is based on, Dwight receives a message on his computer from a mysterious individual informing him that the two will meet soon. He soon discovers that Dunder Mifflin’s security guard, Hank, is named Dorpheus, Morpheus’s brother (portrayed by Laurence Fishburne in Matrix), who gives Dwight the option of taking the red pill or the blue pill.

This is just one of the many unpublished scenes available to watch at Peacock. Currently, seasons 1 and 2 are available for free on the streaming service, while seasons 3-9 are blocked at Peacock’s premium level.There are also 23 extended episodes dubbed The Office: Superfan Episodes with longer lengths and footage that was previously cut.

Office has a dedicated fan base that has only grown since the end of the series, almost a decade ago. It was one of Netflix’s most popular shows in 2020, appearing most frequently on its top 10 list according to the Reelgood rating tracker.

Furthermore, Brian Baumgartner (who played Kevin Malone) was the most lucrative celebrity on the video sharing service Cameo, earning more than $ 1 million in 2020.
