In her first start of the spring season, Pauline Roussin-Bouchard needed 45 holes to make a bogey. The second year student from South Carolina, No. 4 in the World Ranking of Amateur Golf and a member of the French National Team, opened the Moon Golf Invitational on fire with bogey free spins of 63 and 67. Even “cooling” in the final round only meant 1 out of 73 at the Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Florida,
Aged 13 and under 203, Roussin-Bouchard scored a four-stroke victory over LSU’s Latanna Stone. It was Roussin-Bouchard’s third university title and the second this season. She also won the Ally in the fall.
“It feels good because of the individual title and the team title,” said Roussin-Bouchard after the final round. “It feels really good.”
