Paulina Porizkova records her pain as it comes and goes, as a “useful distraction” from what is temporary.

The Czech supermodel took a picture of her tear-stained face and shared it on Instagram on a recent “bad day”, writing: “Someone tries so hard to be grateful and positive and to look forward and everything, but sometimes you only have one day how it is.” She continued, “I know I’m still shedding my old skin and it still hurts. And in the midst of this pain, I see how I look when I cry and take a picture! Talk about narcissism!”

The 55-year-old concluded, “But being able to get away from your pain, even for a moment, and being objective about it is a useful distraction. I’m going to take that wave and hope for calmer seas.”

But the “narcissism” admitted by Porizkova seems to help fans. “I get inspiration from your posts every day with my breakfast,” someone wrote in his last post. “So, validating! It’s okay to feel down!” Someone added: “And sometimes it helps to know that other people can identify with a pain that seems to be endless,” commented another. “If that means posting a selfie, post the selfie. We’ll get you.”

Porizkova widely shared her mental health transformation since the death of her ex-husband, car singer Ric Ocasek, 75, who excluded her from her $ 5 million estate in 2019, a final act she called “betrayal” . Considering a “perfect example of a cautionary tale”, the model said she had “nothing to live for” after her death. “I literally spent a year asking my friends to buy us groceries. It was not a good position to be in,” she said in a February interview with UBS Global Wealth Management. But her process to rescue her “elective part” from the late singer’s fortune did not eclipse her love for Ocasek, her “sun”, as she explained in a 2019 Instagram post.

And some mental health experts have supported their confessions on everything from aging to depression. Porizkova recently added financial transparency to his stock list, reflecting on his teenage model career and three-decade marriage to Ocasek. “When it came to money, I not only allowed it, but encouraged people to treat me like a big baby,” she wrote on Instagram this week. “I took on zero responsibility for finance, 100 percent responsibility for everything else. And I had no idea that in doing so, people (business) would lose respect for me and consider me the bland wife of a rock star. “

However, all of her introspection does not devour the mother of two. She recently defended her friend Elizabeth Hurley, 55, whose topless photos were the target of attacks by older people. Porizkova responded with his predictable mood – posing naked in his room to prove that “sexy has no expiration date”.

“Why are sensuality and nudity applauded in the woman’s youth,” she wrote, “and outraged in her maturity?”
