Paul Bettany discusses Jarvis transition from MCU to vision

Paul Bettany talked about his MCU debut as the voice of JARVIS., And the role of Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. in turning his character into Vision.

WandaVision Star Paul Bettany gave an ironic explanation of how his presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe shifted from a disembodied voice to the form of the symptoid Avengers The Vision.

Bettany talked to Esquire about the Disney + series and the evolution of her career. After seeing a meme in his photo with the caption “AFTER 7 YEARS AND 5 MOVIES AS A COMPUTER VOICE PAUL BETTANY FINALLY BECOMES ONE OF THE HEROES,” Bettany exclaimed, “Oh! I think – yes, I think it’s true!”

Bettany went on to explain: “Initially, I received a job where I had to speak on the microphone for about two hours and then everyone was very pleased with me and gave me a big money bag! And I think that [Robert Downey Jr.] I was upset by that arrangement and forced them to use me in the movies and make me appear on set. I’m not sure how it happened, but I believe that’s the story. “

Bettany’s voice was presented in Iron Man like JARVIS, the artificial intelligence system invented by Tony Stark of Downey. JARVIS – “Just A Rather Very Intelligent System” – later appeared in Iron man 2, The Avengers and Iron Man 3. Bettany debuted on the screen as Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron, while Stark and Bruce Banner moved JARVIS into the body of Vision after Ultron tried to eliminate it. Bettany reprized the role in Captain America Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.

JARVIS was named in honor of Stark’s family butler, Edwin Jarvis, who appeared in Agent Carter, played by James D’Arcy.
