Pau Hana Tiki boat trips arriving in Ocean City, New Jersey

OCEAN CITY, New Jersey (WPVI) – The first BYO floating tiki experience is sailing in Ocean City, New Jersey this summer.

“It’s a very big concept in Florida,” says Brian Toner, owner of Pau Hana Tiki Boat Tours.

“We saw it there and we thought it would be great to bring it to Jersey Shore.

“It’s a way to get into the water with your ‘bubble’. It is a perfect COVID thing for the summer because when you rent a boat, you rent the entire boat. We never mix anybody, “said Toner.

At the moment, tours are limited to six people at a time.

After more than 25 years crossing the seas of the world, Toners are bringing Pau Hana Tiki Boat Tours to Ocean City in May.

“Pau Hana” is a Hawaiian phrase that means “time after work” or happy hour.

“The way the bay is, we can go to this amazing place and see the sunset over the water that you really can’t see from the land,” says Toner. “It is a very unusual experience.”

It’s BYO food and drinks, or you can choose catering packages from local Ocean City food partners.

Their motto is: live your best life by the sea.
