Several Patriots players are excited about the report of Cam Newton’s return to New England, and Julian Edelman is one of them.
Newton and the Pats agreed to a one-year contract on Friday morning that is very friendly to teams. The quarterback struggled in 2020 after fighting COVID-19. His subscription generated mixed reactions on Twitter when the news was released.
One person who was certainly excited was Edelman, who posted a photo of the duo’s 2020 season with an animated sticker that said, “Come back and see.”

The concerns about Newton’s struggles are certainly valid, but he didn’t have an arsenal of weapons to work with like other NFL QBs did.
Still, it looks like Newton’s return will be warmly received.
