Davon Godchaux will leave Miami, but will remain in AFC East.

Godchaux agreed to a two-year agreement to sign with New England, said agent Drew Rosenhaus.

Godchaux played his entire four-year career in the NFL with the Dolphins and emerged as a strong starter in the nose, before suffering a bicep break at the end of the season in Week Five last season.

The dolphins were interested in keeping Godchaux, but it was clear that they were not going to pay him what he could get elsewhere. The Patriots made the offer he was looking for as soon as it became legal for the teams to make offers, and then he will sign in New England.
