Patrick Mahomes is ready to show that the Kansas City Chiefs’ half billion dollar bet was worth it.
Mahomes is back in the Super Bowl for the second season in a row. He and the Chiefs eliminated the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl LIV and the defender was rewarded with a $ 450 million contract in the 10-year off-season, which could earn him up to $ 503 million in incentives and bonuses.
Mahomes wins more among defenders – with some big ones behind him on the list when it comes to the average annual salary.

Ben Roethlisberger may not have much time left in the league, but he signed a large contract extension with Steelers in 2019, a two-year, $ 68 million deal. His average salary per year is 34 million. He recently expressed an interest in restructuring his business so that the Steelers can avoid a $ 41 million cap in 2021.
