“What Parler really is about is a public square, and a public square is where anyone can come, they can say whatever they want, as long as it’s legal, and Donald Trump said nothing illegal, as far as I know. He certainly didn’t do it on Twitter, not on Facebook [or] any of the other places where he was banned, ”said Meckler.

“He would be more than welcome to join us at Parler, we would be happy to have him with President Biden, we are happy to have someone from any party who wants to participate in a civil speech,” he said.

Parler announced on Monday which is relaunching its platform based on independent technology.

Parler’s relaunch came about a month after the platform was suspended from Amazon’s web hosting services, along with Apple and Google’s app stores due to the riots. The concern arose in the way Parler handled potentially threatening content.

Meckler told Fox News that he thought the platform would be back on Apple’s App Store soon, but that he was not interested in trying to return to Google.

“We are not really interested in going back to Google. They are not for free speech; they are anti-free speech, ”said Meckler. “I imagine that we will be back at Apple, not so concerned with Google.”

The company has become the platform of choice for conservatives who felt that other social media platforms censored content on the right.
